Goal Weight Timeline
See how long the average person in the major GLP-1 trials took to lose the same share of their weight as your goal.
Your weight when you started treatment, or today if you’re just starting.
These are the maintenance doses studied in the STEP 1 and SURMOUNT-1 trials.
Track every dose in the Nudge app
Log your shots, see your medication level, and follow every phase of your GLP-1 journey in one calm place.

How it works
How we estimate your timeline
We compare your goal with the average weight loss seen in the landmark trials of these medications.

1
Your goal as a percentage
We turn your goal into the percentage of your starting weight you want to lose.
2
Match it to trial averages
We find the week when the average participant reached that percentage: STEP 1 for semaglutide 2.4 mg, SURMOUNT-1 for tirzepatide 5, 10 and 15 mg.
3
Stay within the evidence
We don’t project beyond the trial length (68 or 72 weeks). If your goal is bigger than the trial average, we tell you.
Tips
Getting the most from treatment
Eat for the long run
Trial participants also followed a reduced-calorie diet. Focus on protein, fiber and nutrient-dense foods.
Keep moving
Participants aimed for 150 minutes of activity a week. Strength training helps protect muscle.
Expect plateaus
Weight loss slows over time and usually levels off. That’s normal, not failure.
Check in regularly
Your clinician can help adjust your plan and set a goal that’s realistic for you.
