At Nudge, we understand that your health information is deeply personal. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your health data is collected, used, and safeguarded.
This page explains how Nudge handles health-related information separately from our general Privacy Policy.
What Is Health Data?
Health data includes information you choose to enter into Nudge that relates to your health, wellness, medications, or lifestyle.
Depending on how you use the app, this may include:
Weight and body measurements
GLP-1 medication details
Injection history
Medication dosage and schedules
Symptoms and side effects
Nutrition and hydration tracking
Activity and exercise data
Progress photos
Health goals
Personal notes
Other wellness information you voluntarily provide
You control what health information you choose to add to Nudge.
How We Use Your Health Data
We use your health information only to provide and improve your experience within the app.
This includes:
Tracking your health journey
Displaying progress and trends
Providing reminders you’ve enabled
Personalizing insights and recommendations
Helping you monitor medication schedules
Improving app functionality and performance
We do not use your health information for advertising or marketing purposes.
How We Protect Your Health Data
Protecting your information is a core part of how we build Nudge.
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
These safeguards include secure data transmission, encryption where appropriate, access controls, and continuous monitoring of our systems.
While no system can guarantee absolute security, we continually work to improve our security practices.
Sharing Your Health Data
We do not sell your health information.
We do not share your health information with advertisers or data brokers.
We may share limited information only when necessary to operate the Nudge platform using trusted service providers, process subscriptions or payments, provide customer support, comply with legal obligations, or protect the security and integrity of our services. All service providers are contractually required to safeguard your information.
Apple Health Integration
If you choose to connect Apple Health (or other supported health platforms), Nudge will access only the information you explicitly authorize. You may disconnect access at any time through your device settings. We will never access health information that you have not granted permission to share.
Apple HealthKit. Health data that Nudge reads from or writes to Apple HealthKit is used only to show you your own tracking inside the app. We never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing or data mining, we never sell or share it with data brokers, and we never disclose it to third parties without your explicit consent. HealthKit data is not included in our analytics or crash reports. Apple HealthKit data is not sent to our AI provider.
AI Features
If Nudge offers AI-powered insights or recommendations, they are generated using the information you choose to provide. Our food search, calorie lookup and in-app assistant use an AI provider, Anthropic, to interpret what you type and identify the food you mean. We send only the text of your request. We do not send your logged health information — medication, doses, weight, symptoms or meals — and we never send Apple Health data to our AI provider. AI-generated insights are intended to support your wellness journey and should not be considered medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Healthcare decisions should always be made in consultation with a qualified healthcare professional.
Your Choices
You remain in control of your health information. You may update your health information at any time, delete entries you’ve created, disable reminders and notifications, disconnect third-party health integrations, or request deletion of your account and associated data.
Data Retention
We retain your health information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, and fulfill our legal obligations. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your health information unless we are legally required to retain certain records.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your health information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of your data, receive a copy of your information, or withdraw consent for optional data processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us.

Consumer health data: Washington, Nevada and Connecticut
For residents of Washington, Nevada and Connecticut, this section is our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy under Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada Senate Bill 370, and applicable Connecticut law. It applies alongside the rest of this page and our Privacy Policy.
What we collect. The categories listed under What Is Health Data above: weight and body measurements, GLP-1 medication details, injection history, dosage and schedules, symptoms and side effects, nutrition and hydration, activity, progress photos, health goals and personal notes.
Where it comes from. All of it comes from you. You enter it in the app, or you choose to connect Apple Health or Health Connect, in which case we read only the categories you authorise. We do not buy health data and we do not infer it from outside sources.
Why we collect it. Only to provide the tracking features you use: showing your own history and trends, sending reminders you have turned on, and helping you follow a medication schedule. We do not use consumer health data for advertising or marketing.
Who we share it with. Only service providers who process it on our behalf and are contractually required to safeguard it, in these categories: cloud hosting, database storage and authentication; customer support; and disclosures we are legally required to make or that are needed to protect the security of the service. We do not share consumer health data with advertisers, ad networks, data brokers or social media platforms.
We do not sell consumer health data. Washington’s My Health My Data Act defines a sale broadly. We do not engage in it, and we would need your signed, specific authorisation before any sale could take place.
Your rights. You may confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data; access it; obtain a list of the third parties we have shared it with; withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing; and ask us to delete it. Deleting your account deletes the health data held with it.
How to exercise them. Email admin@getnudge.health from the address on your account, saying what you would like us to do. We will respond within the period the applicable law allows. If we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review it and respond in writing. If an appeal is denied, Washington residents may raise the matter with the Washington State Attorney General.
